Pretty apples, snazzy shoes and a mysterious Mike

Ashley -

"Snazzy shoes" all the way! Although I would have like to have seen a little more light kicked up into the one laying horizontally. The reflection helps ground the image. "Mysterious Mike" has a nice study of light. I like the wrap of light around his nose that lets you peek at his right eye. I do wish you had moved him away from the backdrop to let depth of field blur out the fold marks. They are distracting. "Bowl of apples?" Nice to see you students eating fresh fruit while it is in season. Off centered aspect and out-of-focus distant apple kind of works, but I'm not sure about the bite taken out of the one. I would suggest working more on this image.

What's with the bites in the apples today? I haven't found a good reason yet. But the composition is a nice change.

Lost focus on the front of the shoe. The placement of shoes is okay but black doesn't benefit a color assignment.

Mike has a good expression but the backdrop does distract. I will have to check this on another computer but I see a little green cast on his face.
